End of one Season
I am at this point of The Project where I start to do some reflecting and praying for the over all direction of my work. Season 23 has been a very good. Even with the various challenges. I’ve managed to learn a lot this year. I’ve been shown that I can do stuff I didn’t think I could. Along with proving that I will go where God sends me.
Season 23 is slowly drawing to a close. A few more weekends before it comes home and is taken apart brick by brick. A process that will take me eight hours over the course of a few day. A bitter sweet moment as I bring one season to a close and lay the ground work for the next one.
It is a time of major prayers. I use this time to seek the Wisdom of the Holy Spirit and ask for the intercession of Blessed Solanus Casey. I have a few things I am asking for prayers on and will cover that in this post.
Preludes and Prayers
“I will go where God sends me. Even if I can’t see the details.” I have said some variation of this for the last few years. Season 23 proved this. So the first thing to keep in prayer is locations to take the project. Parishes and/or events that are interested in allowing me to share my talents with others. Next to the build itself. This has to be one of the hardest aspects of my work. The over all goal would be to do one or two displays a month once the build is finished. Even if I was to have a hard deadline (like a display for say “March 18th” it could be doable. The challenge comes from the fact that I don’t drive. So any parish that wants to have me out would have to take that into consideration.
Giving a few talks
One element of this season that I thought worked out better than I could hope. Giving actual talks in relation to the work. Not just from the build aspect. But also from the motivations and the reasons behind it. Such as talking about the areas related to faith and disability. I really enjoyed doing this. So with the Season 24 displays I am praying that I can give some kind of talk along with a Question/Answer session to not just the children. But also to the adults. Sometimes we can all learn the lessons others have already experienced.
Visiting Schools
The last prayer that I need on is this desire to give a display with talk to Catholic Schools. I had the chance this season to visit St. Mary’s over in Alma, MI. This was my first time doing this and it was a lot of fun. The children asked some very good and deep thinking questions. I also felt they learned a lot. I don’t have a lot of contacts established in the Diocese of Saginaw (Or other regions for that matter). But it is something to prayerfully consider. Could be combined with a parish display as well.
If you know of a parish and/or school that would be interested in hosting Season 24 please have them reach out to me at kc8wzm@gmail.com.
A reflection
I wrote this not to long ago. Talking about my yearly display over at Christ The Good Shepherd Parish in Saginaw, MI.

Being Thankful
The Project would not exist with out the kindness and support of those who believe in what I am doing. I have had the chance to meet some amazing people and am deeply blessed when I am able to take my work on the road and share it with others. Your support means the world to me. It allows me to carry on the mission that God has called me to follow. Thank You!
