Two years ago I posted the first issue of this newsletter. I wanted a resource that I could keep friends and family updated about my writings and the stuff going on with The Lego Church Project since many of them were not on the main social media platforms. Since that time I’ve posted many issues as it relates to me and my work. From interviews I have done. To blog articles and personal reflections I have shared. It is truly my desire to serve the Lord using the talents I have been given.
Since I started this newsletter it has grown bigger than I could have ever expected or hoped. The humble builder who is trying to share the Catholic faith creatively as he can. For everyone who has subscribed or followed. You have my deepest thanks.
So why is the newsletter called “Praying At The Bricks”? It goes back to what I do with The Project. My work is prayer. I am, in many ways, praying with my hands. Since LEGO main part are the various bricks. It only makes sense that I would call my newsletter, and the blog that came before it, as Praying At The Bricks.
Still looking for displays!
I’m still dealing with the challenges in trying to find parishes that want to host me for a weekend. Every few seasons I go though this. My desire is to share my work with others. Would love to do a full run of displays between now and Nov.
If you know of a parish you think I should be at. Please talk to leadership and let them know what I’m doing. If you would like more information please let me know.
A short video
The other day I decided to record a little bit of video of Season 25’s Project. Please check it out and share it with everyone!
Building The Church
St. Timothy
“St. Timothy's Ordinariate Church is a Catholic Church in the personal ordinariate of St Peter. It is a Catholic Church in communion with Rome which uses a different form of the Mass which is influenced by the Anglican tradition of prayers and hymnody. We currently meet in a small historic chapel which is owned by the archdiocese of Baltimore, but are slowly beginning the process of building our own, accessible, beautiful church building and cemetery that can better serve the needs of our parish from cradle to grave.”
Money raise will be directed to this project. If you have a questions or would like further information you send an email to g.m.w.russo@gmail.com
