I still think “new” media paired with boots on the ground. Evangelization efforts can have a very positive impact, but most parishes and dioceses are stuck in old modes of thinking, cannot think outside the box, and simply re-wrap all strategies that have been proven not to bear fruit in the modern age.
I have tried and tried to get perishes on board with podcasting almost none are interested, and the very few that are, are simply using podcasting as a digital homily of sorts. I can think of a rare couple of Paris level podcasts that are done well, but until that sort of success becomes widespread, I think it’s going to be very difficult for parishes to get people back in their churches.
