I’m heading into the end of one season and preparing for the next one. A cycle of tearing down and rebuilding. As I head into this time a lot of things will be kept in prayer. As the weeks/months move on I will probably have to face more than a few challenges. Which, with The Project, is the norm.
At some point in the coming few weeks The Season 25 Project will be coming home and will be taken apart brick by brick. During that time I will take stock of what parts I have on hand. Ordering stuff as needed as I get ready for the upcoming Season 26 build. All of the parts are thanks to the kindness of those who support this ministry.
This is of course a time of prayer for me and my work. So below are the three main prayers I have heading into Season 26:
Prayers for the build: The build is always a challenge. I am testing the limits of myself and the medium (LEGO) than I am using. Prayers that this build would go pretty smoothly with few design issues. Or if something does come up that I can find a solution that I am happy with.
Prayers for displays: The last few years have been difficult in securing parishes to display at. In fact I pretty much dread the idea of sending out any emails give the lack of response I got. So I’m praying that parishes reach out before hand. Along with wisdom on how to move forward.
Prayers for other opportunities: Outside of building and displaying my work. I also give interviews. Either in print, podcasts, or radio programs. Sometimes I talk about elements related to faith and disability. Other times I’m taking about the history and mission of The Lego Church project. Either way I’m always open for new paths to travel. Praying that some new doors open up for me.
Needless to say I have a few things to keep in prayer. Along with a few challenges to overcome. May the Holy Spirit guide me and my mission.
As for the displays. If you have a parish in mind that you would like to have me out. Please talk to your parish leadership. I don’t charge for coming out. However I also don’t drive so the parish would have to provide the needed transportation. I am based in Saginaw Township, MI.
